Our client is currently seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to join their team!
Location: near Plainview, NY

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Interpret project requirements & perform program analysis; Prepare preliminary sketches & schematic drawings; Interface/coordinate architecture & engineering disciplines to develop & execute architectural design concepts; Incorporate local & state-level zoning and building codes, rules and regulations into the design process; Prepare detailed technical drawings and 2D visualizations using relevant software; Compose reports, presentations and documentations; Review, redline and modify design development drawings and construction drawings; Perform field surveys; Lead or participate in project meetings and conference calls; Manage project status, budget and meet deadlines; Assist in all phases of design development.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Master’s degree preferred); at least 2 years of exp. in architectural design; Strong proficiency with AutoCad, ReVit & BIM, Adobe Creative Suite a plus; Knowledge of NYC Building Code & New York State Building Code is a plus; Knowledge of the principles of reinforced concrete, steel and timber design is preferred; Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects efficiently; Physical ability to perform occasional building and site inspections; Strong technical design & graphic presentation skills; Familiarity w/ construction drawing standards; exp. preparing preliminary and/or detailed design drawings; Strong communication skills.
