Job Description:

PURPOSE
This position will manage various capital projects, facilities management escalations, energy management, and utilities management under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities and Energy. This position will manage the processes, including budgetary reporting. Additional responsibilities include vendor management as well as managing any related programs or initiatives. This position will also support the Facilities Specialist as needed to ensure timeliness and quality solutions are being provided to our stores.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
  • Assist Facilities Supervisor with emergency calls(which may occur 24 hrs/7 days), escalations, and daily transactions as needed to ensure quality and prompt repairs are being delivered to our stores
  • Assist Facilities Supervisor with landlord interaction and communicate with Real Estate team for documentation
  • Manage 3rd party store inspection process
  • Identify, plan, and execute capital projects
    o Identify capital projects through store inspections, store wish lists, and vendor recommendations
    o May require frequent onsite inspections
    o Manage execution of capital projects in coordination with Construction Dept. who will execute larger scale projects
    o Maintain and report CapEx budgets on a regular basis
  • Vendor Management
    o Work closely with Facilities Supervisor and Director of Facilities & Energy to ensure vendor compliance with company’s goals and standards
    o Perform quarterly reviews with primary vendors to discuss performance and opportunities

    ENERGY MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure Energy Management systems are in good working order
  • Maintain company set points/schedules
  • Review exception reports with EnTouch Controls and Director of Facilities & Energy on a quarterly basis
    UTILITIES RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee utility bill outsourcing
    o Manage exceptions identified through process
    o Work with Accounts Payable and outsourcing provider as needed to solve billing issues
    o Perform quarterly reviews
    o Report quarterly energy use performance by store and identify poor performers
  • Manage Utility Procurement Process
    o Work closely with Director of Facilities & Energy along with 3rd party energy advisor to manage energy contracts and identify savings opportunities, incentives, rebates, etc…
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Facilities Management experience required.
  • Energy Management and/or Utilities experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)

  • Travel required including air and car travel
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a construction site environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
