Overview: Provide exceptional customer satisfaction while selling and assisting customers with general Hardware purchases.General Requirements: •Exhibit professional, friendly, helpful demeanor.•Maintain excellent computer and telephone skills•Exhibit dependability and promptness with work schedules.Key responsibilities and accountabilities: •Greet customers, provide assistance, ask questions and listen to identify their needs•Gain knowledge and be able to answer questions about the store, products and service’s•Understand and explain to customers the features and benefits of products•Listen intently, understand, recommend and guide customers to suitable products for the customers’ needs in an expedient manner. Don’t spend an inordinate amount of time with the same customer. Address their needs, suggest project related add-ons, thank them for their business and move to the next customer.•Gain and maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.•Watch for and recognize security, safety and theft risks and know how to mitigate them•Maintain clean and visually appealing product displays•Front, stock, clean and ensure proper location of merchandise constantly.•Continue to gain product and selling skill training by the use of Ace Learning Place, manufacturer classes and local training.•Maintain a clean wholesome appearance.•Be aware of number of customers on the salesfloor and help ensure all customers are taken care of.•Be mindful not to congregate in certain areas of the store. Constantly stay on and walk the floor in search of customers to assist and tasks to perform.•All sales floor staff is expected to assist receiving and putting up all inbound freight.•Be proficient in the use of Ace software and assist customer with special orders in an expedient manner.•Be knowledgeable and promote the Ace Rewards program.•Be knowledgeable of Baker’s policies and procedures.•Be constantly aware of stock levels and locations of back stock merchandise and move back stock to the sales floor immediately.•Use the computer to check back stock and insure proper locations for merchandise.•Ensure professional, helpful and pleasant interaction with every customer.•Be aware of customers coming & going and your surroundings, and welcome each customer arriving and acknowledge each customer leaving.•Exhibit professional and pleasant telephone skills.
