About this job

At Discover Financial Services, our analysts are responsible for reviewing and analyzing credit applications to approve or decline the requests based upon pre-established credit policies and procedures. In addition, they utilize an on-line processing system to analyze information on applications, and credit bureau files to aide in the verification and approval process.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Review and analyze credit applications to approve or decline the requests based upon pre-established credit policies and procedures.

2. Handle inbound and outbound calls.

3. Initiate additional verification to complete and/or clarify required information in order to decision applications.

4. Use active listening skills to effectively encourage activation, accounts usage and drive customer engagement.

5. Present alternative offers to customers who do not qualify for original Discover terms.

6. General servicing with an emphasis on being able to overcome objections.

7. Present alternative offers to customers who do not qualify for original Discover terms.

 

Skills Required:

1. Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.

2. Have a clear understanding of the Discover Brand.

3. Have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service to both external and internal customers.

4. Scheduling flexibility to meet business needs.

5. Ability to work in a fast paced, goal oriented environment.

6. Previous customer service experience preferred.

7. Ability to meet and exceed productivity requirements.

8. Ability to adapt to changing environment.

9. Strong work ethic.

10.College graduate or currently pursuing degree preferred.

Available positions are flex working 30-39 hours based on business need, 3:30pm-12:00am availability. Position starts February 19th, 2018 with no time off for the first three (3) months of employment. Training will be for eight (8) weeks, 1:30pm-10:00pm, Monday through Friday with weekends.
