Job Overview

You will use your mixologist talent to prepare and serve great alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for each guest, every time, all while enjoying the fun that each guest brings. While mixing and creating, the bartender is responsible for ensuring that all state, federal and property specific policies and procedures are upheld.

Qualifications

Dunes Deli sits conveniently close to the Swim Center, Harbor Pro Shop and Tennis Center. This super casual, grab-and-go or dine in caf serves a hot breakfast and satisfying, convenient options for lunch. Start the day with a tempting Dunes Deli biscuit sandwich and fresh brewed coffee. For lunch, enjoy dine-in or to-go pizza, hot deli sandwiches, wraps or one of the fresh salad selections. Before or after hitting the greens, stock up on the necessities or grab a beverage or two after your round with 19th Hole refreshments.

Applicants must be at least 21 to be considered for this position.

Essential job FUNCTIONS:

* Mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other beverages according to recipe

* Ensures cleanliness of bar and glassware

* Takes food and beverages orders, using POS system to ring items in

* Ensures opening, ongoing and closing sidework is complete and signed off by a manager on duty

* Counts money in cash drawers at end of shift to ensure the amounts are correct and there is adequate change

* Ensures end of shift bank is balanced with appropriate procedures followed in daily drop

* Preparing quality food orders

* Ensure the orders are prepared within a timely manner

* Assist in preparation of food

* Cleans and resets tables as needed

* Ensures guests are comfortable and welcome if required to wait

* Maintains cleanliness of counter tops, work/food stations, tables, the Deli's appearance

* Answers Deli's telephone, responding to guests' questions in a professional manner

* Responsible for working with the Supervisor to meet all budgeted financial goals as well as any Deli specific goals

* Monitor all computer transactions on their shift.

* Responsible for daily paperwork and cash deposits

* Attends mandatory monthly department meetings appropriate resort and division meetings

* Familiarizes him/herself with menu

* Answers questions and/or makes recommendations on menus as needed

* Assists servers with monitoring assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality and additional service

* Provides general resort information for guests

* Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Wild Dunes Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest

* Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events

* Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information

* Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests

* Addresses any guest issue promptly and with concern

* Offers guests assistance resort directions, activity suggestions, etc.

* Provides assistance to Deli staff as needed

* Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.

* Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment.

* Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Wild Dunes Resort dress code standards.

* Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times.

Associate is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.

eXPERIENCE & eDUCATION:

* High school education required

* One year food and beverage experience preferred

* At least six months customer service experience preferred
