Responsibilities

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a Studio Technician II the candidate will be responsible for working advanced crew positions including audio, technical directing, Chyron Duet-Camio, for live nightly format programming for Comcast SportsNet. Candidate will also work in a variety of crew positions including but not limited to Robo-Cam/video, stage manager, Hand Held camera, videotape, etc. as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical directs studio programs for NBC Sports Washington.
  • Coordinates the technical preparation of the crew and prepare reports regarding the readiness and condition of production equipment.
  • Assists producer and/or director in setting up in-studio productions including lighting, placement of cameras, running cables location of microphones, color balancing of cameras, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Sony production switchers (Model 8000)
  • Experience with Calrec audio boards and how they function.
  • Working knowledge of Robotic camera controls.
  • Assist in the coordination of talkbacks and live shots for various news related programs
  • Perform other related duties as required. Must be willing to working a flexible schedule.
  • Knowledge of INews.

Qualifications/Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS degree in related field.

3 years television production experience required. Experience with live television news/sports formats strongly desired.

Working knowledge of all studio positions and studio production a plus

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Experience with live remote feeds with audio mix-minus set up required.

Ability to take direction and constructive criticism. Ability to teach various skills to new staff/interns.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.

Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

Must be 18 years or older.
