JOB PURPOSE:The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible to be a lead associate of the store.  In this role, you will support the sales of the store and the store manager by assuming some leadership tasks that allow you to grow knowledgeable and able to complete management responsibilities. This role will is the sales lead on the sales floor with customers and strives to be a main point of contact with other associates in the store for coaching and other development opportunities.  The Assistant Sales Manager contributes to the sales and operational functions of the store and is available to support the manager in many duties.  This role serves as a next-in-line opportunity for management openings and future new locations.  Overall, this position will serve in a dual role of a lead sales person as well as a trainee position for management.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: •Greet incoming customers; establishing the customer experience culture with associates•Meet and exceed key performance objectives and sales goals•Assist store manager with daily sales and operational tasks •Partner with store manager to conduct store meetings, create and execute marketing ideas, coach associates,         and build new customer relationships•Acts as store lead by motivating and driving sales on the floor •Supports the store culture and mission to develop store associates •Participate and manage regular outbound activities with store associates•Complete regular sales and operational expectations, not limited to cleaning, stocking, customer calls, counting         inventory, tag changing, store layout changes•Adhere to company policies by ensuring accuracy, completion, and security with all sales and operational         paperwork•Complete store opening and closing duties•Complete diagnostic services and next step instructions for customers•Additional tasks as assigned 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: 

•	High school diploma or equivalent. 2 year degree preferred
•	Previous retail experience; lead or management experience preferred
•	Reliable transportation to accommodate immediate or advance notice of presence
•	Flexible schedule of availability to support traditional retail hours that include days, evenings, and weekends
•	Strong communication skills with the ability to read and write the English language
•	Basic mathematical skills; ability to use a calculator
•	Ability to use and operate basic functions of a computer
•	Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
•	Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
