Plater Operator - 3rd Shift - Full-time / Part-time

Express Employment Professionals of Rock Hill, SC is recruiting for a Plater Machine Operator for a local company in Rock Hill, SC. Hours are Monday-Friday, 10:45PM-7:15M. Pay is DOE, starting at $13.00 per hour. The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, excellent attendance, a willingness to learn, and be a go getter.

Job requirements may include:

Qualified associates will be able to set up, operate, and tend machines to plate a wide variety of metal products with lacquer, nickel, copper, zinc, tin, or other materials.

*Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards, and make adjustments as necessary.

*Run and maintain the line.

*Call a lab technician when chemicals get low.

*Record operational data on specified forms.

*Start pumps to mix solutions and fill tanks.

*Operate auxiliary machines or equipment used in the coating processes.

*Set up and operate machines to coat products with such materials as nickel and copper solution materials.

*Perform test runs to ensure that equipment is set up properly.

*Clean machines, related equipment, and work areas, using water, solvents and other cleaning aids.

*Remove materials, parts, or work pieces from coating machines, using hand tools.

*Transfer completed items or products from machines to drying or storage areas, using handcarts, hand trucks, or cranes.

*Attach and align machine parts such as rollers, guides, brushes, and blades, using hand tools.

*Start and stop operation of machines, using levers or buttons.
