Summary of Responsibilities
Manage assigned medical only worker’s compensation claims. Research and determine coverage, conduct investigations, determine compensability, evaluate exposures and liability and manage claims to conclusion. Other responsibilities include managing file activity with diary system, ensuring proper reserving, participating in training activities, triaging of claims and other duties as directed by manager.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Prior claims handling experience ideal
Basic knowledge of personal computers
Strong time management skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast paced environment
Interpersonal skills
Oral and written communication skills
Negotiation and problem solving skills
Preferred Education and Training
Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance or related field
