Our Trucks are the Best on the Road

Western Flyer only drives the best, state-of-the-art vehicles on the road today. All of our trucks are equipped with Air-Ride. The majority of our flatbed fleet is comprised of Freightliner Cascadia models.

Our Dry Van Fleet consists of:

• 2015–17 International LGs
• 2015–17 Freightliner Cascadias
• 2015-17 Kenworth T680
• 2015-17 Peterbilt 579

PAY PLANS:

Northeast Regional -.50 cpm .01 raise every 6 months. Cap .54 cpm (Attaining 35,000 miles per quarter get an additional .02 cpm) Max Potential .56

I-40 & Below - Van Drivers - .37 cpm ½ cent cpm increase per quarter. Cap .42 cpm (Attaining 35,000 miles per quarter gets an additional .02 cpm) Max Potential .44

• Bonus offered for "No Violations Found" on DOT roadside inspections

HIRING CRITERIA FOR:

12-17 Months Experience

• Minimum Age: 23
• Minimum Experience: 12 months of verified OTR driving traveling in at least 3 states over the previous 24 months.
• No Preventable DOT accidents in the previous 3 years
• No Felony convictions in the previous 7 years
• No DUI/DWI/BAC's in the previous 10 years.
• No Drug convictions in the previous 10 years.
• No more than 1 license suspension, downgrade, withdrawal in last 3 years
• Any unpaid tickets or surcharges will be reviewed prior to offer of orientation

No more than any combination of two of A, B, or C within the previous 2 years:

A. Moving Violations

B. Unsafe Driving Violations

C. Preventable Accidents

• The following infractions will be considered IF there are no other safety violations in the previous 2 years

(Moving Violations, Unsafe Driving or preventable accidents)

• Careless or reckless driving in previous 2 years
• Speeding 15 or over in the previous 2 years
• Cellphone violations in the previous 2 years
• Improper or erratic lane change in the previous 2 years
• Following too close in the previous 2 years

Automatic Disqualifiers

• Preventable Rollover in the previous 5 years
• Preventable Rear end collision in the previous 5 years
• Positive or Refusal of Drug Screen (Lifetime)
• Abandonment or unauthorized location without notice in the previous 12 months

• Abandonment or unauthorized location without notice at the previous carrier and no more than 1 in the period being reviewed.

  Any candidate that has been discharged in the last 12 months for safety reasons must be approved by the VP of Safety.

HIRING CRITERIA FOR:

18+ Months Experience:

• Minimum Age: 23
• Minimum Experience: 18 months of verified OTR driving traveling in at least 3 states over the previous 4 years.
• No Preventable DOT accidents in the previous 3 years
• No Felony convictions in the previous 7 years
• No DUI/DWI/BAC's in the previous 10 years.
• No Drug convictions in the previous 10 years.
• No more than 1 license suspension, downgrade, withdrawal in last 3 years

No more than two of the same violation listed below within the previous 3 years:

Example: 2 Moving Violations meet criteria, but 3 Moving Violations do not.

No more than any combination of three of A, B, or C within the previous 3 years:

Example: 2 Moving Violations and 1 Preventable Accident meet criteria, but 3 Preventable Accidents do not.
