Purpose

Floor & Decor is seeking an enthusiastic Director of Web Development located in our corporate headquarters. This position will help define and drive our online and OMNI-Channel strategy. We’re looking for an ambitious and innovative professional with eCommerce project management experience, who is meticulously organized and who can help drive key initiatives to completion on time and on budget. This Director level position will oversee all aspects of website projects during conception, development, testing, launch and post-launch. We are looking for someone who combines deep knowledge of eCommerce project planning and execution, with an outgoing and collaborative personality.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Experience implementing and maintaining eCommerce platforms including Demandware (CommerceCloud) and third party eCommerce applications
• Demonstrated ability to bring structure to work environments and to work well with people at all levels of the organization
• Ability to influence change outside of span of control and build stakeholder support
• Strong understanding of the eCommerce landscape, including architecture, processes and eCommerce technologies
• Strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify and prioritize, and highest impact initiatives
• Bachelor's Degree
• 8 + years project management experience
• 4+ years of eCommerce project management

Essential Functions

• Bring leading-edge ideas to the table and seek out new opportunities that will improve the company’s digital results.
• Define the functionality and overall customer experience of the company’s web sites and other digital applications.
• Simultaneously manage multiple eCommerce/OMNI Channel projects
• Manages assigned projects through full-life cycle, requirements definition and through QA.
• Create project timelines, and manage development milestones and deliverables.
• Perform requirement analysis and prepare specification document.
• Manage an eCommerce team of front-end developers, user experience experts, quality assurance specialists and site administration.
• Manages internal and third-party business teams.
• Ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet expectations and requirements.
• Provides management visibility into project status while executing effective decision-making, approvals and direction
• Ensures UAT activities meet business goals. Coordinate release business approval(s) prior to launch
• Leverages professional experiences to identify potential areas of improvement in project performance
• Shares best practices related to project management
• Define, prioritize, and manage website initiatives to support eCommerce goals as well as OMNI Channel focused projects from stakeholders across the company.
• Perform QA review, and oversee others in the company who will assist with QA.
