Restaurant Marketing Director

The Restaurant Marketing Director is responsible for boosting the reputation of the restaurant through POP, social media, and events.

Requirements

  • Management ServSafe Certification (certificate expected within 30 days of position acceptance)
  • Minimum education experience: some college
  • Experience: preferred, but not absolute

 

Responsibilities

  • Weekly meetings with the Business Director:
    • Set and track goals
    • Discuss budget considerations
  • Answering the Marketing line at all times, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
    • Checking Marketing messages daily
    • Responding to messages in a timely fashion
  • Changing the POP per the Marketing Calendar
  • Maintaining the appearance of guest areas, including indoors and outdoors
  • Utilizing the Marketing Calendar to help create timely Community Board materials, social media posts, and marquees
    • Keeping Team Members abreast of campaign focuses and event details
  • Maintaining social media posts and responses on a daily basis
    • Facebook
    • Twitter
    • Snapchat
  • Utilizing Spotlight to maintain and recover customers that in possession of the app
  • Planning and Conducting events
    • One themed kids’/craft night event per month
    • Spirit fundraising events for local schools/churches
    • Annual Team Member Christmas Party
  • Responding to donation requests
    • Keeping track of both approved and denied requests
  • Helping the Team Member Development Director create Team Member retention incentives
    • Annual Team Member Christmas Party
    • Team Member outings/volunteer opportunities
    • Employee of the Month/other rewards systems
  • Keeping the United States flag in good, presentable condition
    • Making sure the flag is at half/full staff, as needed
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary by the Operator or Board

In addition to the above, it is important to remember that the basic running of the restaurant is vital and may super-cede marketing responsibilities. Please be prepared to allow for that flexibility in your day-to-day operations.
