The role…

  • Provides remote training and assistance to Choice franchisees and hotel staff on Choice's property management systems to help improve guest service and business efficiency. Assists General Managers with new rates and inventory management tools. Delivers training through webinars, one-on-one remote coaching and other online training tools. Also provides on-site training as needed to help augment busy periods on the training schedule.

What you will do…

  • Remotely assists in training the HOST program for new GMs and owners coming into the system.
  • Hosts online webinars to help hotel employees with systems related training efforts.
  • Delivers remote training to GMs and Owners who have recently relicensed their hotel in order to quickly get them up to speed on the property management systems.
  • Creates training for both virtual sessions as well as live sessions.
  • Conducts live training for GMs and Owners on Choice's systems at our annual conventions and fall regional meetings.
  • Conducts remote training for international hotels on Choice's systems.
  • Provides input on training materials and course content, working with other trainers and management personnel as needed.
  • Completes and returns expense reports in a timely manner.

Skills you have…

  • College degree or equivalent experience in management (particularly within the hospitality industry)
  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • Proficient with online training tools such as WebEx, GoToMeeting, Adobe Connect, etc.
  • Proficient with Choice's management systems, especially ChoiceADVANTAGE and Rates Center.
  • Instructional design experience preferred.
  • Hotel front office experience preferred
  • Experience as a hotel general manager preferred
  • Practical training experience preferred
  • Ability to be flexible with changing schedules and priorities
  • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
  • Excellent verbal, written and over-the-phone presentation skills
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally (<10%)
  • Valid driver's license
