Position Title Painter

Job Summary

AECOM has immediate opportunities for a Painter to support an OCONUS project. The selected candidate will prepare, finish and paint walls, woodwork, fixtures and equipment as assigned.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Prepare, finish and paint walls and ceiling, woodwork, and fixtures to include prep work and caulking.

  • Repair plaster and sheetrock walls to include tape, block, skim and sand.

  • Determine the type of paint required for application to different surfaces.

  • Paint mechanical and electrical equipment.

  • Mix paint ingredients to obtain proper color and consistency.

  • Performs other job related tasks.

  • Perform minor plaster work to include scratch coat and finish coat.

  • Perform fume and spray control within the area being worked.

Minimum Requirements

  • Over 7 years of job-related experience. Excellent communication and analytical skills and a working knowledge of computer systems and software application programs.

  • Specific training and licensing and advanced knowledge in the particular area of specialization, plus a broad knowledge of other disciplines.

  • High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Active, fully adjudicated Secret or TS security is required.

  • Must have a valid US Tourist passport.

  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.

  • A willingness to work shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • No relocation provided.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active, fully adjudicated TS/SCI w/Poly preferred.

  • OCONUS experience preferred.

  • Ability to write correspondence.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
