Clinical Chemistry / Clinical Pathology
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine within the Emory University School of Medicine is requesting applications for the Director of the Core Laboratory at Emory University Hospital, at the faculty rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, commensurate with experience. Applicants must possess an earned M.D and/or Ph.D. with board certification in either Clinical Pathology or Clinical Chemistry. We are seeking a highly-motivated individual with broad experience in academic Core Laboratories, including expertise in the areas of laboratory operations, total automation, chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis. Additionally, the ideal candidate would have experience in LCMSMS and capillary electrophoresis in order to oversee the special chemistry laboratory, as well as interest and expertise in related areas including point-of-care-testing, toxicology, pharmacogenomics, and/or operation of diagnostic management teams. Successful applicants will be expected to have an established record of scientific excellence in research activities, and to contribute to teaching at the professional and graduate levels.
