Fowl Play Roadside Chicken is currently seeking a Catering Coordinator for its Palo Alto location. The primary responsibilities for this role are to develop a set of client relationships to grow our catering business and manage the service component for customers ordering meals for pick-up or delivery.

Responsibilities for the Catering Coordinator include:

  • Consistently offering professional, friendly and engaging service.
  • Reviews all catering orders and work with restaurant staff to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Confirms consistency and accuracy of all catering orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitors revenue and costs of the department and assist in the development of strategies to maximize sales while managing costs
  • Prepares confirmation letters, thank-you letters, questionnaires, billing and all other catering related correspondence/paperwork.
  • Tracks questionnaire responses.
  • Establish creative & innovative ideas that will create points of difference.
  • Communicate daily with team and weekly with management on initiatives and progress.
  • Ensure that all catering services handling procedures are adhered to and strict compliance to the health and safety guidelines of the restaurant are maintained.
  • Takes on any special projects assigned.
  • Performs all job duties in a safe responsible manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the Catering Coordinator:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience with scheduling and executing catering events
  • Previous experience in utilizing a variety of sales and marketing strategies to build sales, which include but are not limited to: telephone, e-mail, in-person sales meetings, cold calls, and community events
  • Ability to work well under high pressure and manage time appropriately
  • Flexible work schedule including days, nights, weekends and/or holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software suite
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to adjust accordingly
  • ServSafe food handlers certificate
  • Valid Driver's License & minimum 1-year clean driving record
  • ServSafe Food Handlers Certification
