Job Summary:

Comcast Spotlight is looking for a talented, highly motivated individual with strong data analysis, data storytelling and project management skills to join its Media & Entertainment Insights team. The successful candidate will be able to look beyond "what" an analysis shows with a strong desire to discover and explain the "why". Location is New York.

Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable, provides premium video advertising opportunities joined with advanced analytics. The Media & Entertainment team sits at a unique focal point where viewership data is utilized to both sell cross-platform video platforms and to measure success. We work closely with our programming partners to promote content to our robust subscriber base, with the ability to deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time.The Research team provides front and back end solutions to better understand, deliver, and prove the value of Spotlight's cross-platform advertising to Media-specific clients.

The candidate must have a proven track record in data-rich analyses, as well as experience in addressable advertising and ad effectiveness studies. Applicants should also have the ability to interface effectively with strategic partners and the skills to convert data into actionable insights and recommendations. He/she should have experience in television measurement (including proficiency with Nielsen, comScore, and media math) and skill in data visualization. This role will have significant client-facing responsibilities including pre-campaign meetings to understand goals and offer solutions, as well as post-campaign results presentations. This person should be able to work with moderate guidance.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Comcast Spotlight sales executives and other Research team members in support of campaign proposal requests, post-campaign analytics, and ad hoc data requests
  • Attend client meetings with Sales to understand key KPIs, provide category-level insights, and collaborate on appropriate solutions that can be implemented in campaigns
  • Utilize both syndicated sources and Comcast viewing data to create analytical reports and make client-appropriate recommendations
  • Work directly with cross-functional teams and department leadership to scope internal viewing data-driven analytic deliverables and execute project timelines
  • Craft and visualize data insights into customized, dynamic client presentations
  • Present data findings directly to client and answer their questions on deliverables and data capabilities
  • Establish reporting structure, provide methodology direction, and quality check internal viewership attribution studies
  • Help develop new measurement solutions and/or reports via creative use of internal and external data

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in digital video/TV media research, data analysis, media buying/planning (specifically in digital video or TV)
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office Applications (Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of advertising sales industry, conceptual knowledge of addressable advertising is preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with constantly shifting priorities
