Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager to plan, schedule, and coordinate projects to repair, alter and renovate building structure and installed equipment, and supervise a multi-disciplined construction workforce performing work on multiple projects simultaneously.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates projects to repair, alter and renovated building structure and installed equipment.

  • Oversee a multi-disciplined construction projects and will be tasked with multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Prepares sketches and simple line drawings as needed for walk/talk or AECOM Managed Projects.

  • Monitors financial reports to ensure projects compliance with established budget.

  • Assist in the development of man hours and material estimates in coordination with staff for projects.

  • Assists with design review from a PM point of view, not engineering reviews.

  • Maintains computerized status logs of work, updates all computerized records as required.

  • Responsible for GFE used in the performance of work for the Branch.

  • Works with Furniture Coordinator and team to determine installation schedules.

  • As a Project Manager has the responsibility to: Approve and prioritize projects within established guidelines.

  • Works with Communication Coordinator and team to determine wire window and fit up schedules.

  • Develops and maintains project construction schedule.

  • Assures compliance with standards for job safety and accident prevention.

  • Assures compliance with all construction building standards and project specifications.

  • Attends weekly status meeting with FS Construction Branch.

  • Maintains records of construction inspections and schedule compliance for reporting.

  • Reviews workload with FS AECOM team and project managers to revise schedules as necessary and according to established priorities and availability of capable workers, parts, material, machines and equipment.

  • Provides status reports on projects and informs customers of job status weekly.

  • Performs all tasks as required for closing out of projects within specified time requirements.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Requirements

  • Must possess a valid state vehicle operator's license.

  • Must be able to read, write and understand the English Language.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required.

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required. Technical school or college-level course work in construction project management, desirable.

  • Seven years in facilities maintenance, construction or other directly related field. Three years supervisory experience or Project management experience with ability to organize work, meet deadlines and direct work crews.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project desired

  • Knowledge of computer-based facilities management software.

  • Journeyman's certificate from the State of VA., MD., or D.C., a carpenter, electrician, plumber, HVAC mechanic, or other similar qualification.

  • Certification in Project Management.
