Overview

The Manager of Outpatient Oncology in conjunction with the Medical Director of the Infusion Center, Medical Director of the Cancer Program, and Director of the Cancer Institute will facilitate a timely, integrated and coordinated approach to the care of patients coming to Outpatient Oncology areas.

It shall be the responsibility of the Manager to triage inquiries, monitor the progress of each individual, by coordinating tests and procedures, acting as resource for information related to insurance, patient education and options for future care, The Manager of Out Patient Oncology will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations, ensuring systems are put in place to achieve desired outcomes, creating and overseeing utilization of the operational budget and supervising support staff. The Manager will act as a liaison between the Outpatient Oncology areas and other ancillary areas to insure that the needs and concerns of the patients are addressed. The Manager will provide administrative leadership to the Outpatient Oncology areas including but not limited to (Infusion, Navigation, Survivorship, Genetics, Financial Navigation, and Dietetics'). The Manager will work in tandem with the management of access services as well as pharmacy to ensure appropriate connections are made in the care delivery process. The Manager will also work collaboratively in with the Coordinator Quality/Accreditation regarding cancer programmatic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in relevant field is required.
  • 3~5 plus years Supervisory or Management experience in Oncology required.
  • Organizational, planning and delegation skills
  • Team building, leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong drive to achieve superior results
  • Quality improvement expertise.
  • Ability to work with patients in a fast- paced environment with established time constraints.
  • Flexible schedule, may include some weekends
  • May be required to participate in community service programs
