HR Field Generalist-

As a key member of the Starboard Group Human Resources team, your role is to provide HR expertise and support to employees and leaders within a multi-unit restaurant environment.  Frequent travel is required.  
As HR Field Generalist, you will consult on a multitude of HR disciplines including, but not limited to: employee relations, performance management, health and safety concerns in the restaurants, internal HR tools and resources and general HR-related matters. You will also partner with other HR functions across the company to ensure support of key HR programs initiatives.

Starboard Locations:      
Midwest (Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri)
Mid-Atlantic (New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia)
South Eastern (Florida and Alabama)

This role is based in the greater Detroit metropolitan or surrounding areas. 

In addition to following Starboard policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
 
•      Brand Promotion/Protection and Employee Relations 
•    Consult on and monitor status of critical employee relations issues (performance, discipline, treatment, etc.) within Starboard Wendy’s System, keeping management & leadership informed of needs and trends
•    Proactively anticipate impact of internal and external forces (national and local legislation, organized labor, workforce trends, etc.) on Starboard’s business
•    Educate and influence Operations & HR to optimize positive employee relations and protect the Wendy’s brand
•    Prevent and mitigate risk 
HR Systems and Processes 
•    Maximize the use of technology and various HR systems & websites to provide effective and efficient delivery of services
•    Analyze call data to identify trends; complete reports on call/case information for field & other customers within U.S. 
•    Seek opportunities to build relationships with key customers and business partners
•    Conduct feedback processes to ensure customer satisfaction
•    Work on internal projects/assignments as needed
•    Assist with hiring, training & on boarding of new team members

Qualified Candidate Requirements:
•    1-2 yrs. experience dealing with employee relations matters, HR programs and systems
•    Interest in pursuing career in Human Resource
•    Bachelor’s Degree (in HR preferred) or equivalent experience
•    Experience working within a multi-unit retail or restaurant environment is highly desired
•    Ability to support and influence change in a fast-paced environment
•    Must leverage resources well and successfully partner with all levels of employees, within multiple business groups
•    Strong leadership and decision-making skills
•    A high level of initiative and ability to work in a team and independently
•    Problem-solving and judgment skills a must
•    Ability to work on multiple technology platforms
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    PHR or SPHR certification preferred
