The HRIS Technical Analyst partners with corporate directors, their customers, and internal technical staff to design, develop, and support cost-effective solutions within the HRIS application landscape. Responsible for the development of relevant artifacts to include project plans, requirements, designs, process flows, test plans and other system documentation as part of a System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Works closely with HRIS Technical Lead. This position serves as a technical point-of-contact for stakeholders, functional leads, and other subject matter experts.

Full life-cycle responsibilities for HRIS platform, integrations, configuration, data, and other related components. Develop custom objects, fields, dashboards, queries, and reports. Applies Testing, Release, and Configuration Management principles and best practices to ensure the integrity of the HRIS platform, system configuration, business processes, and data. Proactively engages stakeholders, functional leads and technical staff to apply a robust test regimen to all customizations, upgrades, patches, and other changes as part of a User Acceptance Test process.

Responsible for administrative functions to include Security, Tenant Management, Vendor engagement and issue escalation. Support HRIS through technical research, solution development and solution alternatives/recommendations. Participates in the development of functional roadmaps that ensure the alignment of technical deliverables and business initiatives. Apply effective interpersonal skills when working with customers and peers to accomplish project goals.

Train and mentor users, functional leads and other staff members. Identify, distinguish, and act upon issues, problems and opportunities. Apply critical thinking and assessment skills to analyze problems and data as part of the development of corrective actions and recommendations. Recommends process, policy, customer service improvements, and innovative solutions that conform to industry best practices and meet/exceed customer expectations.

Understands and uses qualitative and quantitative measurements and data collection design principles. Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS technologies, training, materials and resources with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and the application of key technologies. Participates in user group meetings and conferences as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, MIS, Computer Science or equivalent/related field OR equivalent combination of education, certification and experience

Required Licensure, Certification, etc.:

N/A

Work Experience:

Three to five years of HRIS or HR generalist/specialist experience
Previous experience with multi-site, multi-state, multi-functional organizations
Experience with an HRIS such as Workday, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, Lawson, etc.

Knowledge:

Demonstrable understanding of the SDLC and methodologies as well as the ability to participate in the overall SDLC.
