Pediatric Sleep Neurologist at Emory University/Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

We are pleased to announce the availability of a full time clinical pediatric sleep neurologist at Emory University/Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) based in the Children's Physician Group Sleep Practice. The position is as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Pulmonary, Allergy/Immunology, Cystic Fibrosis, and Sleep in the Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta provides advanced diagnostic and clinical care to patients up to 21 years of age. The Children's Sleep Center operates 3 sleep labs that currently runs 14 sleep beds. The outpatient clinics in sleep are growing, including the support of a sleep psychologist and the development of subspecialized clinics.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is for an outstanding clinician educator who is BC/BE in sleep medicine and pediatric neurology. Clinical practice will focus primarily on sleep related disorders, but will include outpatient pediatric neurology service with 0.6 FTE effort in sleep and 0.4 FTE in neurology. The sleep neurologist will evaluate patients in both sleep and neurology clinic, interpret sleep studies and be included in the sleep call pool. Supervision of medical students, residents and fellows on rotation will also be a part of this position. Although clinical and educational activities are the primary focus, research and other scholarly activity will be encouraged and opportunities exist for collaborative research with established researchers.
