Job Description
We are looking for individuals who are ready to work hard and are willing to grow with an expanding company. We are a niche company specializing in high end design and service. We require dependability, discretion and a good work ethic. If you are willing to work hard and learn, we are willing to the take time to invest in you for long term growth with the company.
A garden shoppe associate will:
- Acknowledge, greet, and engage all guests.
- Follow daily work schedules as assigned by management.
- Follow dress code in accordance with team member handbook and all required health codes.
- Perform plant maintenance duties in accordance with company guidelines.
- Perform any other related duties as requested or required by management.
- Have a working knowledge of plants and flowers.
- Is able to work in fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner.
- Is able to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers.
- Has the visual acuity sufficient to produce labels and prices per instructions.
- Is independently mobile within the department - standing and walking for 8-10 hours.
- Has the strength to lift, push, or pull objects weighing 25 pounds.
- Is able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, non-traditional hours are required.
- Is able to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude.
- Is able to complete daily cash drawer and evening close out doing.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school education preferred, but not required.
- Experience with plants is preferred, but not required.
- Retail experience is preferred, but not required.
