SEFNCO Communications is currently recruiting for a General Manager to support our Livermore, CA facility!

Job Purpose:

 

The role of the General Manager is to effectively lead and manage Area operations relating to construction services, outside plant and engineering services, and design services.  The General Manager is responsible for all financial aspects of the Area operation. The GM is responsible for implementing and adhering to all Company policies and procedures.

 

Primary Duties:

 

·         Review and Assign projects as needed

·         Develop project prioritization based on needs and escalation of projects

·         Develop and direct processes to facilitate successful completion of projects from start to finish

·         Forecast review and data entry to Sefnco systems related to these projects and estimated dollars

·         Plans and controls the financial matters under their charge within budgeted limits. Efficiently allocates and/or reviews labor resources to be cost-effective.

·         Primary contact for all customer related matters.

·         Regularly evaluates the performance of all employees according to procedures. Continually nurtures employee development.

·         Companywide safety practices, policies, and training

·         Safety violation enforcement and disciplinary action reviews

·         Safety training and compliance

 

Secondary Duties:

 

·         Assist company management in securing new business

·         Ability to negotiate contracts

·         Site or project Walkouts

·         Ongoing staff training

·         Shop asset management (fleet, equipment, facilities, etc.)

 

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

·         Valid US Driver’s license

·         Clean driving record

·         Lift and carry up to 70 lbs.

·         Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for project build process

·         Highly organized person and can show planning and processes to support daily work

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Excel, Word, Etc…

·         Ability to become proficient with customer “Host Systems”

·         Understanding or RF and Fiber network architectures

·         Ability to manage multiple staff members

·         Can interface with customers on/off-site as required

·         Professional and effective leader

·         Effective Project Manager (ability to manage multiple projects at one time)

·         Practical and conceptual thinking as related to project descriptions and needs.

·         Excellent verbal, written, phone, and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work in a fast paced high volume work environment

·         Dependable, flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as needed

·         Ability to be on-call, as needed.

·         Work independently under minimal supervision

·         Sales experience relating to construction projects

·         Negotiation and compromise skills
