Store Clerk - Full-time / Part-time

Weber’s Bakery is one of Chicago’s oldest and finest retail bakeries.  Since 1930, we have been providing our customers with a large variety of high-quality breads, pastries, and cakes.  Weber’s Bakery is committed to maintaining the traditions of the past while giving our customers some newer, more modern options.  Weber’s Bakery provides our customers with courteous and efficient customer service so that they can proudly share our beautiful, delicious products with their loved ones.  We would be unable to do this without our valued employees.  Each employee brings with him or her special qualities and talents that form the core of our business.  It would be impossible to do all of the work of a retail bakery without them. 

This current job opening is for an early morning sales clerk.  Hours would be 4:00 AM-12:30 PM.  There is full-time employment available following a successful training period. 

Store Clerk Responsibilities:

·      Wait on customers in the store from start to finish

·      Operate a cash register

·      Correctly count change back to a customer

·      Answer phones and take customer orders

·      Use a computer POS program for entering customer orders quickly and efficiently

·      Take custom cake orders

·      Package products neatly and cleanly

·      Describe products to customers accurately

·      Know prices of all products

·      Maintain a clean and appealing store

Store Clerk Job Requirements:

·      Punctual- it is extremely important to arrive on time

·      Neat and clean appearance

·      Excellent customer service skills

·      Effective communicator with both customers and coworkers

·      Able to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced, physical environment
