Retail Manager Job Description

Our retail store manager will have a heart to serve others. Clients, homeowners, builders and
anyone else who we can help in the process of finding the perfect floor for their home. We have
created a retail space that is unique in the industry - cleaner, simpler, more accessible.

We will help the manager become an expert in hardwood flooring, able to guide clients through
the sometimes confusing and overwhelming process of selecting a floor. Our manager will be
equipped to initiate contact with builders throughout the community, developing a broad
spectrum of regular repeat clients.

Finally, the manager will help find, select and train an assistant manager.

Requirements

Our manager should be committed to our goals, distinctives and mission, and share our values.
In addition the manager position will require continual initiative to build a customer base,
meeting and building relationships with new people.

They also need to be able to organize and follow through on a variety of work responsibilities
with only minimal supervision.

Goal: Build a successful retail store by developing a network of regular clients from the world of
builders, architects and designers. Also, help guide homeowners through one of the biggest
purchases they will ever make. We believe our retail stores could hit $500,000 in revenue in the
first year, and eventually do $1 - $2 million each

Final word: We want our retail store managers to be be an integral part of fulfilling our mission.
We envision the day when each store is organically connected to fulfilling the mission of working
towards the day when every orphan is home. Partnering with local organizations, connecting
directly with groups of orphans domestically and internationally, and generating resources to
help orphans find their forever homes. And we want to give freedom to our managers to be
personally involved in the mission in any way that they want.
