Job Description

Mission:

Responsible for leadership and management of a retail store location. The position directs daily activities of store operations to grow revenue, drive standards of excellence and maintain established processes to ensure outstanding customer service. Recruitment, retention and constant development of the sales team and the Associate Manager are critical responsibilities of this role. Lead the sales team to success and motivate the group to learn, grow, and build exciting careers. Perform a variety of management functions including: driving sales, achieving store productivity/financial targets, planning and executing promotional and local store marketing activities, maintaining operational processes, inventory management, protection of the company’s assets, merchandising and planogram integrity, overall facility cleanliness and maintenance, and completing human resources responsibilities. This position is responsible for the administrative & logistics functions of setting up customers to receive service from Blu Wireless.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Lead team members to ensure store meets quota on a monthly basis.-
• Responsible for full operation of retail store including opening, closing, staffing, service levels, cash and inventory. Expectations are that 90% of business hours are spent on the sales floor greeting customers, coaching employees and running the business where it matters most—close to the customer.
• Drive sales, service and operations of the location—“own” the business.
• Establish and exceed organizational performance and individual performance goals.
• Drive and maintain solid operational processes, inventory management and inventory rationalization, planogram and merchandising integrity and overall facility cleanliness and maintenance.
• Complete duties and provide leadership designed to deliver high levels of service to customers within the framework of established company policies.
• Recruit sales staff on an ongoing basis. Screen and hire outstanding talent.
• Create a positive work environment, which is as important as creating a positive customer experience – “own your team”. Motivate, lead and train a winning sales team. Get to know team members - their strengths and weaknesses, aspirations and goals, background and experience - and use that knowledge to help them succeed.
• Develop/manage all employee files – including positive as well as constructive feedback/coaching. Adhere to strong documentation guidelines as outlined in the progressive discipline process.
• Role-play with team to help them sharpen their skills and learn to deal with challenging situations. Provide informal coaching and support during the course of any given day.
• Assist and support store associates in all aspects of sales and customer service as required.
• Coordinate sales and local marketing events on a regular basis.
• Identify & communicate activities within the community served by the store to increase brand awareness and sales.
• Conducts outbound calls and generates leads to increase customer traffic into the retail store/kiosk.
• Assist in other tasks, duties, or projects as assigned by management

Ensure daily opening & closing procedures are followed.

Minimum Position Requirements:

 

·       High school or GED equivalent or equivalent related experience required; College degree preferred

·       3 years retail sales experience, preferably in the wireless telecommunications industry; prior retail management experience preferred

·       Must be proficient in computer skill, POS systems, spreadsheets, word processing, software/hardware installation

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills-ability to communicate effectively to all levels (upper management, peers and subordinates); ability to create store meeting agendas and effectively present materials, conduct one on ones, provide coaching and counseling to store personnel

·       Accessibility to transportation 7 days a week. Must be available to work typical retail hours, including weekends and holidays

 

Activity Checklist:

ü  Assist in Store Inventory Audit 1st & 15th with report.

ü  Weekly follow-up with 1 to 2 staff members with analytics.

ü  RMA/FRU Handling on last day of every month.

ü  Daily cash deposit/pickup register reconciliation and followup coordinating with staff and Accounting Dept with daily balance reports.

ü  Two hour every day to checkup staff is active when on call.

ü  Weekly Marketing tactic with employee report.

ü  Ensure change is adequate for everyday of operation.

ü  Purchase Store Marketing & Office supplies.

ü  Educate Team on Quotas and Daily Goal attainment.

ü  Create daily awareness of goal status.

ü  Develop efficient systems to make your job and staff job easier & fun!

ü  Conduct monthly store meeting reflecting and building store performance.

ü  Attend weekly conference call reporting store performance and best practice.

ü  Role Play & Coach Sales Team daily.

ü  Develop two new staff leads at end of every month.

ü  Be aware of local competitor promotions and offers.
