Job Description

GENERAL MARKET MANAGER

BLU WIRELESS

 

Mission:

Serves as main leader and is responsible for the sales, management, direction, and coordination for the indirect/third party retail distribution channels in the local markets. Plans and implements all necessary strategies and tactics for achieving unit sales objectives and profitability in that channel. Coordinates and directs all training, co-op advertising, marketing, third party compensation, sales reporting, providing practical, consistent, and proactive support, direction and advice to other division managers on HR procedure, policy, best practice, employment rewards, benefits, and legislation to facilitate in achieving the objectives and targets of an organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Defining the learning strategy and recruitment, setting high standard principles and providing likely solutions. Providing pragmatic and consistent guidance and advice to managers on grievance, attendance, disciplinary, and performance issues.
  • Creates (and expands) all indirect/third party retail distribution channel strategies and relationships.
  • Implement on-going continuous improvement plans to enhance our market position and profitability.
  • Create and support the sales management plans for execution by the Indirect Account Executives.
  • Ensure the collateral, point of purchase materials, selling sheets, etc. are available for the sales force to use and distribute.
  • Recruit, develop, motivate, and manage a high-performing team.
  • Develop territory management assignments, sales forecasts, and reports for the local markets.
  • Effectively analyze all programs implemented.
  • Make suggestions to improve/enhance our existing sales and sales support programs.
  • Create incentive programs for channel development. In addition, will create contests to reinforce the training given to employees and third party personnel.
  • Assist in creating and managing local promotional events specifically for this channel.
  • Raising proactive issues with managers, identifying practical solutions to complex and diverse HR issues, and recommending appropriate action plans.
  • Compiling and managing case management documentation, accompany and support managers.
  • Briefing new managers on the policies and procedures of an organization in conjunction with development and learning team, providing coaching to managers on difficult and complex issues.
  • Completes all other correspondence and sales duties as assigned by Indirect Director.
  • Build relationships and ensure dealer doors have proper merchandising using a checklist designated by the Indirect Director or "report to" person.
  • Communicates with dealers and employees of dealer location as needed while representing MetroPCS.
  • Establish and manage company owned stores that can profitably produce thirty percent of planned subscriber acquisitions
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with local operations of national retailers and support their marketing activities
  • Create advertising and promotion campaigns, which will produce, within budget, the planned gross and net activations
  • Ensure all store locations are well trained on MetroPCS products and services.

 

 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to influence and persuade internal staff creating team atmosphere while achieving key objectives, accessible, committed, and responsive.
  • Pragmatic problem-solving skills.
  • Articulate communicator and ability to interpret and explain written and statistical data to a wide range of audiences.
  • High standard of attention to detail.
  • 5+ years of wireless management experience.
  • Proven track-record in consultative sales and sales management experience.
  • Talent for personnel training, coaching, and development.
  • Expert Microsoft Office skills like Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • BA/BS degree highly preferred or equivalent education through work experience (high school diploma or GED required), preferably business studies.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize work
  • Bilingual highly preferred.
  • Reliable transportation & willing to drive to multiple locations on a regular basis.
  • Flexible schedule (willing to work late nights, weekends, and holidays)
