Job Description

Bakery in Soho looking for a manager to assist ownership in the day to day operation of the bakery. Responsibilities include opening and closing duties, scheduling, policies and procedures. The manager sets the rules for the staff to follow with their energy and desire for the best customer service for the patrons.

Job Requirements:

-Leadership skills including ability to inspire and motivate the team.

-Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.

-Certified in qualifying local food safety protection course.

-Candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in F&B management with responsibility of overseeing 10+ employees in the food service business. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

-Should have experience with POS systems, QuickBooks and inventory skills are a plus.

-Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Also be able to stand for long periods of time during a shift.

-Food handlers permit a plus.

Duties:

-Work directly with ownership to lead daily bakery retail/on-line operations. Also management of employees in a busy store atmosphere.

-Work directly with staff on scheduling to ensure business is always staffed properly.

-Ensure all employees are providing exceptional customer service.

-Ensure store and merchandise presentation is consistent with bakery standards.

-Promote and maintain a positive work environment by working side by side with the staff to maintain service standards.

-Train new and promoted employees to provide maximum support required.

-Work with management  to control labor cost by increasing efficiency and sales in the store

-Reinforce all DOH sanitation, health department standards and safety guidelines.

-Work with ownership to develop and maintain a Training Manual plus training of all new staff.

-Responsible for reports to ownership, payroll, scheduling on a daily and weekly basis.

-Responsible for ordering all supplies/bakery goods.

This is a full time position. Manager must be flexible to work all shifts as needed which may include morning, evenings and weekends. Work schedule will be 40-50 hours a week, 5 days a week. Competitive pay package based on experience.
