Job Description

Sovereign Lending Group is looking for an Appraisal Assistant/Coordinator with significant experience working with a Broker/Direct Lender looking to be part of a growing company!

Responsibilities:

  • Daily oversight of vendor websites to monitor incoming appraisals, appraisal revisions, and reconsiderations of values.
  • Requesting appraisal conditions/revisions.
  • Follow-up on appraisal conditions/revisions and notifying all applicable parties (Loan Processor, Loan Officers, Sales Manager, Appraisal Reviewer).
  • Order 1004Ds when Loan Processor advises.
  • Respond to internal/external customers regarding appraisal order, scheduling, or completion issues.
  • Respond to vendor notifications and requests regarding need for additional information, updated status, delays, or escalated issues.
  • Download appraisal-related files from AMC website or email notification and upload into the appropriate folders in the loan operating system (Encompass) with the appropriate descriptions.
  • Enter appraisal and property-related information into Encompass.
  • Provide updates to internal customers regarding receipt and/or delays of revised appraisals, reconsiderations of values, 1004Ds, or requests any additional information.
  • Manage vendor and client customer service requirements.

Qualifications Required

  • High school diploma, college degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working for an AMC or a large lender within the appraisal department
  • Excellent interpersonal skills i.e. verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess strong organizational, multi-tasking, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel, as well as strong Internet research skills and experience with vendor websites. Experience with Encompass is desired but not required
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience with vendor websites
