Transportation Group Leader --- - Full-time / Part-time

Leader at our distribution facility to help distribute research products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional, safe and cost effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.

This job contributes to organizational success by:

· Process all customer orders and inquiries accurately and on a timely basis, to ensure logistic and transport expectations are met

· Ensure accurate inventory control of our products via regular orders at external and internal suppliers

· Serves as a liaison between sales, operations and Customer Service Department to develop stronger relationships with internal and external parties

· Work with other Logistic Department to coordinate shipments and communicate with inter-departmental contacts to arrange shipments

· Proficient use of all applicable JDE functions and DOT software requirements (Will Train)

· Answer customer inquiries and refer technical questions to the appropriate staff

· Understand and adhere to all applicable, SOPs, Work Instructions and company policies

· Track shipments as needed

· Be up-to-date and participate in relevant issues for logistic policy changes

· Coordinate with direct supervisor for all relevant HR matters, PMD’s absenteeism conversations, holiday planning and keep track of the applicable training records

· Communicate with other departments to arrange shipping, accounting, etc

· Respond to off –hour emergency calls

· Process, pick and stage customer orders, track shipments and answer inquires on a timely basis, to ensure transport expecations are met.

· Drive Delivery Routes as needed

· Other duties as assigned as required

Job Requirements:

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, additional language skills are preferable
• Valid driver’s license (minimum class B preferred) with delivery service experience and good driving record required.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities under extremely busy conditions
• One to three years of transport & logistics services experience
• Strong knowledge of computer, software systems i.e. Microsoft excel and powerpoint
• Professional demeanor, communicates clearly and effectively at all levels
• Knowledge with, familiarity and experience with an inventory planning tool, i.e., JD Edwards, Microsoft products
• Accurate and timely processing of orders
• Desire to learn and perform new responsibilities
• Dedicated and committed to achieving the objectives of the business unit
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
