Warehouse / Shipping & Receiving Clerk
PrideStaff, a National Staffing System, is currently looking for energetic, goal-oriented individuals to join a large distribution company. They are currently looking for experienced shipping & receiving associates for 1st shift.
Summary:
Picking product and preparing it for same day shipping.
Qualification/Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to three months related experience and/or training.
Must be able to become certified and maintain certification through an OSHA approved forklift program.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of thse that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Frequent lifting or with other means for movement of boxes or pans. May also include frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers can also be expected.
Must be able to lift 50-150 lbs on consistent basis, having proper technique and understanding to limit injuries.
Work Environment:
Work performed in a combination of shop and office environments.
Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes.
Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperatures and machining.
Unloading / loading materials, operating forklift and electric pallet jack
Team lifting 50-75 lbs

Qualification/Requirements:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instruction.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions, both oral and written.
- Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks, be familiar with and able to intercept packing slips, enter into computer the correct information, to acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order and processing database.
- Must be able to fill out bill of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by major freight carriers.
- Must be capable of estimating weight, and use that information to calculate cost of shipping.
- Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
- Must be familiar with chop saw. Understanding how to use in a safe & effective manner.
- Must be familiar with a tape measure and how to interpret.
- Must be familiar with Nail Gun and understand how to use in a safe & effective manner.
- Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment and be a licensed forklift truck operator.
- Experience with UPS online software is desirable.
