About this job
Mary Kay Hospitality is looking for an experienced production cook with customer service experience. The role of the production cook is to assist Team Lead (Chef) in the production and service of all food for the Mary Kay restaurant and catering service.
- Prepare food items for daily lunch and catering service under supervision of team lead (Chef).
- Serves food items to customers in a positive and pleasant attitude.
- Maintain a clean station, performing daily cleaning duties to be checked by Chef at the end of the shift
- Follow correct production recipes for food items, including correct storage and labeling procedures.
- Follow proper food safety guidelines (rotating, labeling, storage, etc.)
- Performs all work in a team setting, including helping co-workers with their production and cleaning responsibilities.
- Basic kitchen safety and food safety knowledge
- Clean, professional and well-groomed appearance and uniform.
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand fluent English.
- Must be able to physically perform the standard role of a cook (lifting, standing, cleaning)
- Must present or obtain current Texas Food Handlers Permit within first 30 days of employment
- Must have basic knife skills and working knowledge of basic kitchen equipment.
- Job may require the ability to work at different work locations, during different shifts or on weekends based on business needs

- Compensation: $12.50-$14.50 per hour depending on experience
- Standard work week is Monday-Friday 6:30am – 2:30pm. No weekend or holidays!
