POSITION OVERVIEW:

The bartender is responsible for providing outstanding customer service by upselling souvenir glassware, selling, preparing, and delivering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Greets guest and takes drink order
  • Answers questions regarding beverages, glassware, and pricing
  • Fulfills drink orders in a neat, timely and pleasant manner
  • Takes money, makes cahnge and balances cash till
  • Utilizes POS terminal to record sale transactions
  • Delivers beverages to guest in the arena
  • Monitors level of beverage inventory to maintain sufficient stock as to meet the needs for each show
  • Arrange bottles and glassware per company direction
  • Attempts to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking appropriate steps
  • Checks identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • Cleans bar equipment and fixtures to maintain the required standard of cleanliness and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Prepares frutis and other garnishes necessary to make drinks
  • Cleans up spills and removes and empties trash
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to process information through POS computer system

• Ability to count money and make change

• Ability to deal with unpleasant or discourteous guests on occasion

•Ability to proactively engage guests in making a sale

• Ability to effectively communicate with Team Members and Guests

• Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation

• Physical ability to stand, walk, and walk up and down stairs for extended periods

• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• 1-2 years bartending, retail, or customer service experience
