About this job

As a member of the store management team, a Floor Manager plays an important role in all aspects of store management. This includes assisting in supervising store associates, inventory management, merchandising, attracting and developing talent, and most importantly ensuring great customer service. 

Duties and Responsibilities
•	Key Holder, which requires to lock and unlock the store for opening and closing
•	Ensure that cashier open/close procedures are followed
•	He/she will act as the store manager when the store manager and assistant manager are absent
•	Capable of running POS terminal both on-line and off-line, and upload offline POS transactions
•	Operate Veriphone 
•	Knowledge of overall company policies, procedures, and goals 
•	Provide legendary customer service storewide
•	Resolve or escalate customer complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner
•	Work with staff to ensure goals are achieved, procedures are followed, and high standards are maintained
•	Help to regulate and maintain an organized and efficient work place to ensure the efficient flow of job duties and responsibilities
•	Delegate daily workload and work as a team to ensure standards are met
•	Make sure that the cashier area is clear, organized and properly signed, and that daily tasks are complete in a timely manner
•	Count cash and supervise or make up the bank deposit
•	Merchandise displays and end caps for specific departments
•	Be proficient in all store technology (i.e., ACENET, POS system)
•	Prepare “Accident Reports” for employees, customers, and vehicles
•	Prepare and present records of communication 

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
•	High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
•	Strong leadership and analytical skills
•	Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
•	Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
•	Ability to lead and develop others
•	Competency in placing special order
•	Vast knowledge of hardware related products and home projects a plus
•	Minimum of 1-3 years’ retail experience
•	Willingness and ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs. 
•	The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
o	Ability to physically use a scanner to scan all merchandise and to use Point of Sale keyboard and computer keyboard for all transactions
o	The ability to see and read product labels, dispense product knowledge, and communicate with customers
o	Manual dexterity; working with cash registers and computers, assembly of some products; ability to quickly make appropriate change for customers
o	Ability to stand for an extended period of time
o	Bending, climbing, and twisting are routine; the position requires the ability to retrieve, stock, and move product
o	Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
