The Catering Coordinator will assist customers by consulting on the specifics of their catering needs, offering suggestions on
appropriateness of catering items, and assisting at scheduled catering events to ensure perfect execution. Individuals interested in this opportunity must be willing to travel. We are also looking for someone who is comfortable with helping with floral setup and prep as well as catering experience.

CATERING COORDINATOR DUTIES

Key areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Provide courteous, friendly, and expedient consulting to customers to identify all the pertinent needs of their event.
2. Demonstrate detailed knowledge of available catering products when consulting with customers in order to make the most appropriate suggestions for their event.
3. Clearly and concisely communicates with all team members in order to facilitate a smooth event for customers.
4. Participate in all event set up, delivery, and execution with a sense of urgency and with an obvious focus on creating an event that is effortless for the customer.
5. Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner and recognize when it is appropriate to involve the department manager or other member of higher management.
6. Know and practice rotation procedures to ensure product dates are properly monitored.
7. Able to operate, clean and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
8. Meet or exceed productivity standards to produce desired team and individual results.
9. Quickly unload incoming shipments and neatly stock them in their designated areas without damaging merchandise.
10. Participate in the inventory process in a manner that is efficient and cost-effective to both company and customers.
11. Know, comply with, and encourage other team members to comply with all health regulations, sanitation guidelines and safety procedures for your department and your store.
12. Demonstrates the strong verbal and interpersonal skills necessary for positive customer and peer interactions.
13. Demonstrates the basic math and reading skills required for the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
2. Must have a minimum of 6 months of catering, party trays or other multi-serving foods.
3. Must have a minimum of 1 year in deli, restaurant, or other food service operation.
4. The ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment requiring that you shift focus quickly.
5. Applicants must be able to tolerate various physical requirements outlined in the full job description including, but not limited to, long periods of standing and walking, repeated bending, squatting, twisting and stretching, repeated lifting, and other requirements.
6. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
7. A valid driver's license.
8. Able to obtain a Food Handling Permit.
