PositionDescription

Perform a variety of repetitiveand semi-repetitive, meticulous assembly operations where methods and sequenceof assembly are provided from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams,schematics, process flow sheets as well as other written or verbal assemblyinstructions.

PositionResponsibilities

* Understand andfollow all procedures and Good Manufacturing practices including those thatoutline safety, housekeeping, cleanliness, equipment calibration, component andmaterial labeling, and assembly/process specifications

* Maintain allmanufacturing and quality records; accurately and legibly record requiredinformation

* Inspection of workcompleted by other team members as well as work completed by prior work center

* May operateautomatic or semi-automatic assembly equipment

* Participate as amember of the Quality/Process work center team to ensure the highest qualityproduct is assembled on time to meet with customer's specification

* Perform otherrelated tasks as assigned or required

* Followinstructions/directions from Group Leader and Team Leader

Basic Qualifications

* Graduated from highschool, or passed GED/HiSET

Desired/PreferredQualifications

* Previous medicaldevice assembly experience at Medtronic

* Ability to read,understand and work with detailed visual aids such as method layouts, detaileddiagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and related assembly documentation

* Ability to usevarious hand tools and power assisted assembly tools that are common to themedical device industry

* Ability todemonstrate a record of excellent performance in meeting high standards ofquality, quantity and dependability (attendance and punctuality)

* Ability to provideconcentrated visual and mental attention

* Ability to workwell with others

* Ability to workwell on teams

* Ability andwillingness to move to different work stations

* Able to push 20 lbs6-8 times/day, pull 30 lbs 6-8 times/day

* Able tobend/stoop/kneel 2-3 hours/day

* Able to reach armsabove head up to 10 hours/day

* Able to use stepstool and climb and balance up to 10 hours/day

* Able to usemicroscope to perform fine close up work up to 10 hours/day

* Able to work withchemicals and solvents with no known chemical allergies

* Vision correctableto 20/20 under normal lighting

* Able to wearcleanroom attire - gown, gloves, safety glasses

WORK ENVIRONMENT - exposure toenvironmental conditions

* Wet or humid -- upto 33% of shift

* Work near movingparts -- up to 75% of shift

* Work in high places-- up to 33% of shift

* Fumes or airborneparticles -- up to 33% of shift

* Toxic or causticchemicals -- up to 33% of shift
