Manufacturing Associate – Soldering

Summary:

Manufacture printed circuit board assemblies to specification in a timely manner

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • TH and SMT Soldering of electronic components including resistors, capacitors, connectors, IC's, switches, crystals, using no-clean and organic flux and both lead and lead-free solder at a IPC Class II and Class III levels
  • Ground Plane Soldering
  • Touch-up (remove bridges, etc.)
  • Basic Mechanical Assembly
  • De-tabbing of PCBA’s
  • Follow process documents and workflow instructions
  • Inspect and Quality Check own work/work of others
  • Minor to complex component and wire modifications
  • Position requires flexibility to work overtime and occasional Saturdays
  • Follow process documents and workflow instructions
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Required
  • 2 years soldering PCBA’s at an IPC Class Level (I, II, III)
  • Current or prior certification in IPC 610 and J-STD
  • Solid understanding of basic electronic Component Identification
  • Solid understanding of Board Handling (PCBA)
Preferred
  • Experience soldering lead-free components
  • Fine Pitch Soldering (less than 0.625mm)
  • Experience with IPC Class III Soldering
  • Skills to perform minor component and wire modification.
KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Work with extremely small and/or fragile components and tools for extended periods of time
  • Read and follow complicated drawing and documentation
  • Normal Color Vision
EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Required
  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
Preferred
  • IPC 610 or J-STD Certification
Soldering Test at client site required.

Pay $13 to $18 D.o.E. and qualifications

Day shift – 6:35am – 3pm
