Estimator

PrideStaff is conducting a search for an Estimator for a growing construction company located in Golden, CO. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Overview

The Estimator works with project teams to develop cost estimates, reviews project progress for budget compliance. The Estimator will complete a variety of estimates including: construction projects, quantity survey/pricing/budgeting/value analysis, square foot estimates, working drawing estimates, proposal/bid or GMP estimates, systems comparisons and value engineering alternatives.

Job Duties

• Analyze drawings and specifications ensuring required documentation
• Develop full-scope estimates based on Bid-build, Design-Build construction documents or conceptual drawings
• Analyze bid documents for risk and opportunities
• Direct and organize the bid team with regards to means, methods, strategy and schedule
• Participate in technical proposals for alternative delivery projects
• Monitor actual versus estimated costs
• Maintain project cost history
• Provide detailed quantity take off of specific trades
• Create detailed cost estimates and review with management

Job Requirements

• 5 - 10 years estimating or construction/field experience
• Excellent conceptual estimating skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong math/accounting skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Assist with analysis of building components and systems
• Experience in alternative delivery methods
• Industry related college degree is preferred or similar technical training/experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Timberline and On-ScreenTakeoff
