The Physician Assistant Program at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a qualified and motivated Physician Assistant to join our faculty. This is a full time position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and professional accomplishments. In addition to the expectation for teaching, service and scholarship, the selected candidate will be appointed as Associate Program Director and work as a member of the leadership team contributing to the stewardship and vision of the program.
Summary of Duties (Assistant/Associate Professor):
* Engage in teaching, scholarship, and service activities
* Coordinate, teach, evaluate and remediate assigned courses
* Participate in ongoing program evaluation and planning
* Assist with meeting accreditation requirements
* Advise students
* Assist with student admissions process
Summary of Duties (Associate Program Director):
* Collaborate with the leadership team on overall administration, management, and strategic planning of the Emory PA Program to promote quality education in accordance to University, School, and Program missions and values
* Contribute to the continuous self-study process
* Organize faculty development activities
* Encourage scholarly collaborations
* Represent the program, which may include attendance of and participation in the PAEA, AAPA and other national and regional professional meetings and committees
* Serve as an "ambassador" for the University, School, and Program
