Kaiser Permanente of Washington is now recruiting for its 2017 Summer Internship Program, which is designed for highly qualified, diverse undergraduate and graduate students. POSITION DETAILS

This posting is for the position of Clinic Administration Intern. This graduate Intern will work in the Adminstration Department at Capitol Hill Medical Center. Specific projects are subject to change but the Clinic Administration Intern will primarily focus on assisting clinical operations managers, project management, as well as assistance to both the medical center manager and the regional director of operations.

PROGRAM DETAILS

This paid internship is designed to give you the opportunity to apply skills and knowledge obtained during school, while working in Kaiser Permanente's integrated health care setting. Internships are 12 weeks and will run from June 11th through August 31st. Internships are up to 40 hours a week. Individual internships may start sooner from May 29th through August 17th depending on the student's schedule. During the program, you will have the opportunity to:

* Complete important work that will give you the skills and experience to help jumpstart your career.

* Interact with other interns in various program events, both during the work day and through outside social activities.

* Participate in Career exploration through informational interviews & presentations.

* Attend brown-bag lunches with senior leaders.

* Receive a performance evaluation from your preceptor.

* Attend a workshop on resume writing and behavioral interviewing.

* Give a presentation on your internship experience at the end of summer.

REQUIREMENTS & ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for the summer internship program, the candidate must:

* Be eligible to work in the United States

* Currently be in between the first and second year of a graduate program at an accredited university

* Hold a minimum 3.0 GPA

Enrollment in Masters program, Health Administration, Operations Management or similar field.

Intermediate Communication, project management, organizational and analytical skills. Computer skills in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Office software. Ability to take initiative. Ability to handle high stress, multiple tasks, complex issues, conflicting demands and confidential information.
