Job Description:

3M Is currently seeking an Ambulatory Care Sales Representative for the Infection Prevention Division to be located in Texas.

Job Summary

Responsible for driving sales of 3M Infection Prevention products to physicians and nurses in free-standing surgery centers, surgery-based physician offices, emergicenters in conjunction with inside sales and telesales groups. Works effectively with procurement, distribution, OEM, and regional / local distributors. Responsible for managing and optimizing local, regional and national surgery center chain initiatives within specific geography. Sells full product portfolio and serves as contact point to direct customer requests to appropriate sales organization for entire non-hospital market space within 3M Infection Prevention Division. Product bag also includes C3 products.

Additional Responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Able to navigate and coordinate complex organizational structure to drive sales to meet or exceed forecasted attainment goal
  • Proficient in business planning for self and all team members within geography in conjunction with distribution programs and segment initiatives
  • Able to demonstrate consistent proficiency in territory management and sales growth, as well as clinical knowledge and teaching/training skills
  • Drives sales growth through collaborative efforts with both internal and external Infection Prevention Division/Critical & Chronic Care Division sales and marketing personnel, distribution, and OEM partners in specified market segments.
  • Understands and effectively communicates clinical / business solutions in the surgery center, emergicenter, trade show and physician office settings
  • Establishes and maintains membership and participation in relevant professional organizations within territory geography (APIC, AORN, ASC Associations) and leverages for sales growth and market intelligence.
  • Provides relevant input in team strategy and growth plans at team meetings and on calls
  • Analyzes territory sales for opportunities, and drive sales growth, facilitates communication with all peers within geography on a consistent basis
  • Works with Surgery Center Strategic Account Manager to drive programs with agent sales team in geography
  • Works with IPD Sales management to maintain consistent key messages and sales direction

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of four (4) years of Healthcare sales experience
  • Experience with GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) contracts and distribution in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid drivers license is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Surgery center and/or physician office sales experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams; ability to lead and teach others in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and in conjunction with numerous segment partner teams (distribution, healthcare key accounts, ASC chain marketing and contract sales force)
  • Competence in selling to clinicians, regional distribution offices and regional surgery center and physician office groups
  • Strong Computer and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to lead and teach others
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Analytics experience preferred

Location: Texas

Travel: Up to 50% travel is anticipated

Relocation: No relocation authorized.
