About this job
Precision Tire & Auto Center, located in Oak Harbor, WA, is currently seeking a full time automotive mechanic to join our team. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in this field and can work roughly 40 hours a week.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose and repair vehicles with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with manufacturer standards
- Perform such jobs as brake repairs, diagnostics, electrical diagnostics/repairs, head gasket, timing belts, tune ups, oil changes, AC services, overall vehicle inspections, and alignments.
- Road test vehicles to identify causes of issues
- Accurately record time spent on repairs and document work performed on work orders
- Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to customers
- Continuously learn new technical information
- Assist other employees in performing technical activities
- Keep service writers aware of mechanical repair problems
- ASE certifications are a plus, but not necessary
Qualified candidates must have a valid Washington state driver's license, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a drug and background test.
