Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Benefit Programs
•	Supports administration of Benefit Open Enrollment.  Ensure accuracy of employees benefit choices i.e. 
        medical, dental, and voluntary life insurance.
•	Audits new hire benefits packets.  Verifies new hire benefit elections are correct and process any benefit 
        changes for existing employees.
•	Interface with vendors to coordinate benefits and leaves according to company policy, answers employee 
        questions, provide technical and consultative support, escalates issues and offer policy counseling.

Risk Programs
•	Reviews all company incident reports and files with the Workers’ Compensation carrier.  Make 
        recommendations and evaluate each claim and ensure claims are handled consistently and company costs are 
        contained.
•	Acts as point of contact to counsel, advise, and provide guidance to employees, management, and leadership 
        regarding leaves and risk management programs.
•	Advises management and staff with regard to safety and security issues and making appropriate 
        recommendations for correction and/or issue escalation.
•	Oversees and directs daily risk cases (48 hours turn around) manages issues and escalates exception requests.
•	Manages insurance records for life, workers’ compensation and leave coverage of the company’s employees 
        and their dependents.  Manage, coordinate and prepare ADA, long term disability, personal leaves of absence 
        and return to work letters and/or documentation in a timely and efficient manner.
•	Assists with ensuring leave and disability programs are in compliance with applicable tax and benefit laws and 
        regulations. 
•	Actively participates in the continuing education and motivation of associates to achieve company and loss 
        prevention goals.  Designs, develops and at times administers training directly.

Requirements

Requirements:
•      1+ years of benefits (Workers’ Compensation, 401k and Cobra) experience in a corporate environment. 
•      HR/Benefits experience preferred
•      FMLA experience preferred
•	Proactive style with the ability to interpret data and act quickly.  Ability to interact with Senior Management.  
•	Problem solver with focus on providing, creating, effective solutions.  Ability to develop action plans and 
        execute timely and effective resolution.  
•	Proficient data entry and computer skills, including basic MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook
•	Prior experience with an HRIS database 
•	Excellent written and verbal communication skills, superior customer service and telephone interaction skills.
•	Ability to partner with Specialists, employee relations and vendors in dealing with benefit issues. 
•	Ability to prioritize, time manage and multi-task with limited supervision and sometimes under time pressure
•	Maintain high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
•	Maintain high level of confidentiality
•	Capacity to generate reports and analyze data, making recommendations on efficiencies and cost savings 
        opportunities.
