This full-time, salaried position supports content development specialists (instructional designers) in the design, development, and maintenance of content, tools, and resources that the Disney Institute uses with external clients worldwide. It is part of the Engagement Content Development team responsible for developing Advisory Service solutions that help clients adapt Disney approaches to service, leadership and employee engagement. This individual will write, develop, review, and edit instructional materials (facilitator guides, participant guides, teacher's edition manuals, video scripts, keynote slides, outlines, and other training materials) used in instructor-led programs, as well as collaborate with and support Content and Delivery Team members to understand the needs of external clients and write content and materials in partnership with both internal and external resources. This position will also collaborate with and support the Core Content team as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with content team members and other DI Cast Members in support of copy editing and writing projects as assigned, and throughout the entire design process as needed
  • Learn and utilize Disney Institute's approach to content design and teaching methodology
  • Support the team by proofreading, editing, and providing supplemental writing as necessary
  • Learn and apply the DI nomenclature, style, and brand guidelines as well as any client-supplied brand guidelines
  • Partner with graphic designers and other DI Cast in final copy editing to ensure consistency and accuracy of information when developing content prior to sending to print or delivering product to client
  • Observe real-time Core programs and Advisory services to gain perspective of implementation of content design
  • Ensure all writing assignments and materials are delivered on time and in scope
  • Creation of participant and facilitator materials
  • Develop reusable tools to support Engagement Managers in client engagements
