Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain tools to support and automate processes for software product releases.
- Specifically, design and implement all enhancements to the E-commerce application.
- Design and develop database of Oracle PL/SQL jobs for processing big data, and bring data into and out of e-commerce system.
- Maintain knowledge of content administration (merchandising system).
- Responsible for BCC application and enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and debug for enhancements and production issues.
- Performance tune and enhance ATG/Spring batch jobs, and 3rd party integration.
- Engage in capacity and performance improvement planning for E-commerce applications.
- Ensure customer facing Ecommerce application services are multi-task, reliable, and performant through monitoring, alerting, and self-healing capabilities by applying software engineering practices.
- Create new tools to improve ability to deploy and monitor application services in a large-scale complex environment.
- Engage in software development and ensure the quality of the software code.
- Design, implement and unit test code on large-scale multi-tiered systems.
- Participate in the full SDLC (Agile), including planning meetings, iterative development cycle, estimations and design sessions.
- Serve as subject matter expert for application services as well as troubleshooting and mitigating service availability/performance issues. Occasional telecommuting permitted
QUALIFICATIONS
required
- Bachelor of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or Applications, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- 8 years progressive experience as Software Engineer/Architect, Programmer/Systems Analyst, Technical Lead, or related occupation.
- Alternate Requirements: Master of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or Applications, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related, and 6 years related experience.
- Must have at least 5 years prior work experience in each of the following:
- Application design, design patterns and performance tuning;
- SQL and data modeling;
- UML modeling, Agile, or RUP methodologies;
- ATG web commerce applications, and e-commerce; and,
- Retail, including solution engineering, maintaining retail software systems, and working on stability, performance, and operationalizing of applications.
