A day in the life...

The ideal Senior Multimedia & Social Editor will strategize, implement and manage the creative for social media campaigns, which will grow and strengthen the Nordstrom brand pillars across key digital platforms. They will manage a core team who concept and plan engaging content as well as acts as an expert consultant for all creative initiatives. They will manage brand presence and aesthetics, maintain the brand tone and ensure content aligns with editorial calendar and commercial business objectives. Ability to think outside the box and react to wider events and trends.
The ideal candidate has experience and able to demonstrate past success capturing brand aesthetic.

Reporting to the Campaign & Social Media Senior Managing Editor, the multimedia editor will execute daily, weekly, and monthly social plans.
Maintain a social media editorial calendar and chair creative social media planning meetings in partnership with the business side of the social team.
Plans and executes assets (including video) working closely with Creative Image and Design peers and resources.
Initiate special projects for social, including working with influencers and other talent.
Be able to oversee or support any content in which social media is the key channel.
Identify opportunities and strategies to repurpose content effectively from other channels.
Managing and monitoring the workloads of the Social Media/Video Writers.
Be the organization’s social media expert able to educate stakeholders in best practice and content development and provide critical understanding of analysis and data reporting.

You own this if you have...

5 years proven experience managing a creative social media team at a fashion publication, advertising company, brand or retailer.
Proven track record of working on projects from concept to completion, applying best practices with the ability to prioritize and creatively problem-solve.
Knowledge of fashion editorial, runway, high street and shopping trends.
Ability as a skilled writer and able to quickly grasp brand tone of voice.
Deep knowledge of platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat & Instagram as well as all other key networks.
Ability to supervise, train and mentor employees, including organizing, prioritizing and managing timelines.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects.
A flexible, approachable attitude with good problem solving skills.
Knowledge of constantly changing technology.
Ability to think strategically and stay on top of execution.
Demonstrate relentlessly high standards, fostering passion, integrity and energy.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a high degree of collaboration and influence.
