As an Alterations Sewer/Presser, you’ll play a dual role—part craftsman, part fit expert. In this role, you’ll…

Complete alterations/tailoring following Nordstrom guidelines, service and quality standards.
Strive to meet department, store and individual productivity goals while following proper processes and procedures.
Use your top-notch sewing, organizational and prioritization skills to ensure items are completed by date promised.
Collaborate with the sales team to provide an outstanding experience for every customer.

You own this if you…

Have a high school diploma, or equivalent (preferred)
Previous experience in alterations/tailoring
Understanding of safe and proper use of all equipment in the shop
Ability to communicate clearly and interact with customers and coworkers in a personable, professional manner
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Basic math and written communication skills
High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs
