Position summary
The women’s concept editor is responsible for developing fresh, engaging, and brand-appropriate editorial and advertising concepts and copy that elevate our women’s brands and drive business metrics. S/he will spearhead the development and execution of seasonal content strategies for all women’s brands in the Ralph Lauren portfolio for RalphLauren.com, email and other digital channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Ralph Lauren global marketing, merchandising, brand management, and creative teams to develop the seasonal content strategy to drive business in line with global corporate seasonal brand stories
  • Concept, edit and craft copy for editorial features, emails, site landing pages and other digital content
  • Work with corporate brand owners to craft brand strategies and ensure optimal brand messaging; partner with merchant teams to bring these strategies to life.
  • Create brand-led commercial concepts and copy for children’s brands as needed
  • Create an ongoing dialogue with women’s design and merchandising teams to ensure that seasonal design vision is brought to life, and that e-commerce performance metrics inform product development initiatives.
  • Use latest performance metrics to inform content and copy strategy and execution.
  • As needed, research and write RL Mag Style stories, working with merchant team to identify timely topics and important trends
  • Develop contacts with corporate brand owners to improve lines of communication

Qualifications:• Diverse book of work and 5-7+ years of relevant experience in fashion retail, editorial or agency environment.

  • Strong conceptual skills with knowledge of how copy relates to design, graphics and concept inspiration are also highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills, plus the ability to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to represent Ralph Lauren Agency in meetings with stakeholders from across the company.
  • A personal passion for luxury fashion retail
  • Computer literate, proficiency with standard suite of digital software and social media.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, advertising, marketing (or comparable work experience)
