The Social Media Strategist is responsible for executing an integrated social media presence across multiple platforms and channels to foster engagement with corporate and property brands. This role serves as an ambassador across all social media touch points, managing workflow, content calendars, publishing and engaging with guests, fans and followers.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with company policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Content strategy and implementation.
  • Creates content and manages social media accounts with brand voice consistency; develops content calendars in accordance with set timelines, and develops hygiene creative to accompany the calendar.
  • Identifies appropriate timeline for posting, engaging and optimizing content specific to each social media platform.
  • Publishes content for specific brands and properties across the Company in accordance with corporate processes.
  • Manages the day-to-day messaging, monitoring and moderation of multiple social media platforms.
  • Works with Social Media Manager on tasks such as content calendars and execution research, strategy, and content development as well as implementation.
  • Serves as brand expert; familiarizes self with current activations on property; has relationships with property marketing teams and relevant operators.
  • Leverages social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.,) to communicate internal and external brand stories.
  • Executes strategic campaigns and provides regular updates to partners, ensuring performance goals are being met and providing recommendations when necessary.
  • Ability to handle real time, live coverage of events in formats such as Facebook Live, Instagram Stories, Snapchat, live Tweets, etc.
  • Assists with monthly and campaign reporting by ensuring all content is tagged appropriately and provides highest/lowest performing content with context.
  • Assists with the production of hub and hero-level social media campaigns.
  • Implements established strategies to engage public using social media platforms.
  • Possesses an understanding of digital content with the ability to create on-brand hygiene assets in the format of photos, videos, etc.
  • Ensures creative is properly uploaded and marked in asset manager, adhering to process to ensure social has proper rights to use images before sharing on social networks.
  • Participates in crisis communication and executes approved strategies.
  • Keeps up with the latest social media and digital creative trends.
  • Preform other job related duties as requested.

Required:

  • At least 1 year in marketing, advertising, or possesses equivalent work experience.
  • At least 1 year in social media as an online marketer.
  • Ability to use photo editing software such as Canva and Snapseed, as well as basic video-editing capabilities.
  • Proficient in digital and social media across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Possesses knowledge and experience with capturing professional photography with a mobile device and/or DSLR camera.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google project management web-based tools.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Management, or possess equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in managing and working with social media tools and platforms including popular SaaS systems such as Sprinklr, Spredfast, TrackMaven, etc.
  • Experience within Hospitality, Entertainment, and/or Gaming industries.
  • Bi-lingual, Spanish.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
